by Sophie Thompson A highly competitive fleet squared up against each other in the historic Jonsson Cup Pursuit Race hosted by Point Yacht Club in Durban Bay on Saturday, with a photo-finish revealing the ‘would-be’ winner. For the first time in the history of the Halcat sailing class, three disabled sailors with their specially adapted Halcats took part in the 2017 Halcat SAS National Class Champs Stilbaai Yacht Club on the Vaal Dam. 2017 Finn National Championships. What a Great Event

  Swartvlei Lagoon in the Southern Cape proved to be a successful choice of venue for the 2017 Finn National Championships – it attracted a fleet of 33 boats. These came from Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Knysna and Gauteng. The resort of Pine Lake Marina was made available as the regatta centre. Ten races were completed in the four days of the event.
