Vasco da Gama Ocean Race – 11th Entry received

Not only has this race from Durban to Port Elizabeth caught the attention of many old salts, but the young up-and-coming ones too.

The 1st Bergvliet Sea Scouts have entered JML Rotary Scout with Grant Chapman as the skipper.

The boat and its young sailors will be undertaking a sea-going coastal passage promo (road show) starting in March. It is their intention to visit Sea Scout groups at all ports of call up the coast, and take the Sea Scouts out to sea in their own local waters.

Scouts wanting to compete in the race or crew on one of the legs to get the boat to Durban may also contact Grant Chapman.
