Mark Hawksworth our man on the spot reports that 11 races have been sailed.

The SE wind filled in early and racing started shortly after 12h00. RO Bruce Keytel made the best of the conditions to successfully get in four races using an outer trapezoidal course.

Race 8 started in a 4-6 knot wind which threatened to die out completely, but luckily came back allowing the fleet to complete the race.

Races 9-11 were sailed in winds ranging form 12 – 25 knots and provided some thrilling racing where the World Championship title was decided.

Regatta leaders Michaela and Ryan Robinson had anxious moments when they had to retire from race 10 with a broken main halyard. However they maintained their composure and consistency with a third place in Race 11 successfully defending their World Championship title.

Second placed Eleanor Peers and Isobel Pugh slipped back in the fleet with a 17th and 20th position in races 8 & 10 and will now have to battle it out for second place with fellow team members Gemma Keers & Imogen Bellfield and the Barwoods from Australia in the final race tomorrow.
