Our man on the spot, Mark Hawksworth, reports that after a postponement of approximately 3 hours the wind filled in allowing racing to start at 15:30.

Race 5 was sailed on a windward leeward course and started on a light WNW wind of about 4-6 knots, the wind switched to the SE while the fleet was on the downwind leg allowing RO Bruce Keytel to fly the C flag and salvage the race without any significant position changes in the fleet.

Races 6 & 7 were sailed on an outer trapezoidal course in a 15-17 knot SE wind.

The regatta is heading for an exciting finish with 5 races left and the second discard coming into play after race 10.

At the end of day 3 RSA’s Michaela and Ryan Robinson are tied first on 22 points with the UK’s Eleanor Keers and Isobel Pugh and Australia’s Simon and Tyson Barwoood moving up to third position on 38 points.
