Alex and Benji sadly did not get another day of sailing in since the last report. The AP flag was up well before their scheduled 15h00 start and with the wind dropping to 2 knots, racing was cancelled at 18h00.
Alex: “It has been a tough week for us as we didn’t quite get the results we were hoping for. We learnt a lot though. We were okay in strong wind conditions, but in the light stuff we battled.”
All in all though they found it a very good learning experience.
Alex: “We may have to rethink our strategy and spend some more time competing in Europe, but at the moment there are no definite plans. Our main goal is still to compete in Auckland in December at the 49er World Champs which are in Auckland and start on 29 November and conclude on 8 December.
