470 Worlds – RSA now 5th Qualifier – 2 Races to Go

470 hudson & jim image003Two races were sailed yesterday in winds around 10 knots, with the persistent unpredictably of the race track unseating some teams, and changes again at the top with a new overall leader.

But for the South Africans of Asenathi Jim and Roger Hudson, a 6th in the first race of the day was followed by a 22nd. And the most important aspect of this is that they are 5th in terms of the 6 teams seeking qualification to Rio 2016 – one place up from the previous day.

With just 2 races left today, they know that they have their work cut out for them, and what they have to do. That leaves all us landlubbers watching from the comfort of our armchairs simply to will them on their way to qualification.

Go guys – you have a whole nation behind you, all rooting for you to qualify and then follow you to Rio. So keep the positive vibes going people – more so than ever!
