UPDATE 13h45 Wednesday. The pic shows David Rae rounding the first mark during the first race of the day (and race 5 in the series)  in what appears to be a very handy position way ahead of his competitors. j22 nationals 2014 results after 4 races

12th / 13th April at Fishhoek Beach Sailing Club This turned out to be a wonderful event with some excellent ‘calls’ by the race committee. I think everybody underestimates the amount of work that goes into organising an event like this. Generous sponsorship once again by Sturrock shipping enabled FHBSC to donate over R 20,000 of our entry fees to the NSRI. The final round of the Triple Crown Series was held in Langebaan on Saturday 5th April. It was good to see our newest Tiger Owner Sydney Jacobs and son Steven Sailing. This years J22 Worlds is on the Vaal Dam as international competitors seldom sail on the sea and apparently are not keen on the conditions this can sometimes present. Consideration of this factor has secured entries from the Cayman Islands and Germany. So far there is a total of 29 confirmed entries. Optimists lead the way with 15 entries closely followed by Full Rig Laser (13) and 29er (11). Are we going to see Extras, 505, Hobie Tiger, or Hobie 14 at the event?
