10 races done and dusted – with David Rae still the man to beat although he may be difficult to unseat from the top of the leaderboard as he a 17 point cushion and just one race, the first race, outside of the top 10. Conditions look very light but this did not stop David Rae and his crew from taking the race. With discards still not in play, Rae and his team are looking very strong indeed! UPDATE 13h45 Wednesday. The pic shows David Rae rounding the first mark during the first race of the day (and race 5 in the series)  in what appears to be a very handy position way ahead of his competitors. But it is the Vaal Dam – and we all know what to wind can do there! Held over 21/22/23 March in Durban Bay by Island Sailing Club a disappointing turnout of 14 boats entered. Friday sailing was held in a good breeze of 12-18 knots near the container terminal. Unfortunately breakages were the order of the day with 5 boats retiring with collapsed masts and torn sails!
