Where in the world is Marco Constant?
I ask this simply as he features in today’s Blog, and was always a highly sought after, if not prized crewman in days of the Whitbread Round the World Race. And being South African he had a special place in the hearts of local followers of that round the world marathon.
“I wouldn’t do it …
“This I decided after spending a few minutes on board the ‘EF Language’ yacht with South African born Marco Constant – one of the 12 crew members who sailed into Cape Town yesterday after completing the first 7 000-mile leg of the 32 000-mile Whitbread Round World Race” said Troy Lund who penned today’s editorial for the Cape Times.
