“Talking Sailing” From My Archives. Pics of Zeekoe Vlei Yacht Club

Down and out at Zeekoe Vlei! Could this have been a Spearhead? Who are the intrepid sailors?  READER RESPONSE: Dave Elcock says that George Meek is sitting on the upturned hull – which as others readers have also indicated is an Andy dinghy.

I have been doing a lot of scanning recently so have decided to dispense with the words for a while, and just bring you visual images from my archives.

I am in a “culling phase” with my archives as I have so much material I will never need to refer to or use again. Plus I am freeing up space to make the filing process more simple and easier to locate images.

As I go through the process I have come across some gems – so keep an eye open over the next few days to see what has been found.

Today I feature some images from Zeekoe Vlei – few sadly have captions, so if anyone can supply info on any of the pics, people boats or simply anything of interest about them, please do so via the REPLY button or email: editor@sailing.co.za

Possible dates would also be useful.
