Now here’s something for those yachties who feel that two hulls are better than one!
So there are two Hobie reports today, the Langebaan 100 and the Hobie 14 Worlds where Blaine Dodds finished second again.
The Langebaan 100 was a sloooow affair with little wind and fog banks around, yet it was Blaine Dodds took the honours about 5 minutes from David Kruyt, and fourth placed Geoff Meek describing it as “one helluva boring race”.
There’s lots to read in the worlds report, so I will leave that to you. But what stands out for me is that there were three South Africans in the top 10.
What I did like in the report was this: “That evening, the Australians lost the America’s Cup to our locals. To lose in a beer drinking competition for an Australian is a fate worse that death after a night in Hong Kong!”
