“Talking Sailing” From My Archives. Dalling Talks

This is Bruce Dalling’s yacht ‘Vertue Carina’ which is now moored in Simonstown, and which is lovingly kept in beautiful condition.

Before crashing head-first in to sharing Bruce Dalling’s Archives, I have decided to slowly introduce you to the man.

Today Dalling is interviewed by Cape Argus journalist Siegfried Stander. It’s gives an interesting intro into Bruce, his thinking and how he started sailing.

One quote jumps out for me, and this is what it said: “The sea is the simplest thing there is. You either learn to handle it, and survive, or you don’t. As simple as that.”

Many a landlubber may not agree, but those who have been to sea in small boats, may well identify with this.
