“Talking Sailing” From My Archives. Corsair’s Fine Tow

by Richard Crockett

I mentioned ‘Galway Blazer II’ in my last Blog and promised more. So taking things sequentially, this is the next part of her story as told in SA Yachting Magazine.

The feature is entitled “Corsair’s Fine Tow” and was written and illustrated liberally with fine photographs by David Baker who was a crew member aboard Col. Stan Jeffrey’s ‘Corsair’ which set sail from Cape Town to assist Cmd. Bill King – ‘Galway’s’ skipper.

This is a fine editorial which gives fascinating insight into the difficulties the crew of ‘Corsair’ encountered in assisting King. For those who go to sea in big boats, this is one editorial that everyone should read and inwardly digest!
