“Talking Sailing” From My Archives. A Dedicated Schooner Man Who’s Itching to Put to Sea

Apologies for the late posting today, but fibre coms have been down for the past 12 hours!

Old seadogs should clearly remember the 110-foot steel schooner, ‘Sean Paquito II’, that was built at the entrance to the Sturrock Dry Dock in Cape Town harbour. It was a fixture for many years, and often talked about.

Today there is a delightful story about the man who commissioned her design, and built her. He shared his thoughts on the vessel and what he planned to do with her when launched.
