Even though South Africa is at an early stage of COVID-19 with a low infection rate, it is in everyone’s interest to prevent any further spreading and nip the disease in the bud. As you are all aware, gatherings of 100 and more people have been banned.
Based on this and in line with our social responsibility and duty, it is in the best interest to postpone the LTC Phoenix Admirals’ regatta to a future suitable date. Considering the effort in arranging the event, the logistics in getting boats to HBYC etc, leaving a decision to the last minute will create greater inconvenience for many people. Thus, it is important to give as much advance notice as possible.
Any inconvenience is regrettable, and we will be in contact with those who have paid entrance fees to arrange a financial solution and make the required mooring arrangements for boats that have already been delivered to Hout Bay.
Thank you so much for your understanding, and we look forward to another great event when it takes place.
With regards to your entry – please let me have your bank details and we will refund your entry fees if you have paid them.
