The 2014 Boardwalk Hobie 16 Nationals – Thursday 20 March 2013 to Sunday 23 March 2013 (Friday 21 March is a Public Holiday)
We are once again very proud to be hosting this prestigious event and would like to take this opportunity to thank our sponsors – The Boardwalk Casino and Entertainment World together with Sebago for once again partnering us in this fantastic event – we hope to build on last year and grow this event to make it even bigger and better this time around – be sure not to miss out !
1 Some exciting things on the schedule:
The “Jester” has once again been chartered by Sebago and will be “cruising the bay” on Saturday morning from 10:30 to 13:00, by all accounts on those that joined last year and the spread that was laid on this is one trip not to miss for all the supporters/family/wives & children that are not going to be racing !!
We once again have a fantastic surprise from Sebago in the hand-out bag

Closing date for entries is Friday 7 March 2014 – late entries will be accepted after this date, however, you will be charged an additional R 100.00.

Wednesday 19 March 2014:
16:30 – 19:00 – Registration @ the “News Café” in The Boardwalk Complex (a complimentary Flying Fish drink on registration)
Thursday 20 March 2014:
08:00 – 10:00 – Registration @ the “News Café” in The Boardwalk Complex (a complimentary coffee on registration)
10:00 – Skippers Briefing in the Boat park
11:00 – First race start not before 11:00
+/- 19:00 – Opening Function and Welcome Party – El Greco Restaurant – The Boardwalk
Friday 21 March 2014 – Happy Hour at ABYC / open evening
Saturday 22 March 2014 – AGM @ ABYC (Harbour) – “Bring & Braai” – (don’t forget iPhones/iPods for the music box !!)
Sunday 23 March 2014 – Prize Giving – weather permitting, prize giving we hope to have on the Beach almost immediately following the final racing on Sunday, on the podium, champagne and all !!!!
Thereafter those wishing to travel can hit the road – those that are staying in PE, following the Prize-giving we will be doing “build a burger” (nothing fancy) at ABYC in the harbour, and a little after party!!!
Please let’s get those entries in, its essential we get close to the expected numbers in order to ensure there is no disappointment!!!
