Gul Mirror Worlds. Howard Leoto & Shane White Still in top 10

Howard Leoto & Shane White.

by Richard Crockett

Maybe the sever storm which passed over the competition and camping area of this event during the previous night affected some, will never be known, but most RSA teams had an ‘off’ day, with the exception of Howard Leoto & Shane White.

Leoto & White are the only RSA team in the top 10. Yesterday they had 2 races in the top 10, but their 3rd race will hopefully be a discard as they were 24th – maybe as a result of the rain and generally miserable conditions?

Racing was in rain for most of the day. Race 7 kicked off in a 3-4 SSW wind with a bit of swell and using a triangle-sausage-triangle course – and a flooding tide.

Race 8 was sailed with the breeze building and just a triangle-sausage.

Race 9 got away cleanly under a ‘P’ flag with the breeze building further, bigger gusts and a windward-leeward course.
