First Full Carbon Sailing Cat Launched

Two Oceans Marine Manufacturing, one of South Africa’s most experienced boat builders, has recently launched the M60 Full Carbon High-performance Sailing Catamaran, which will be on display at this year’s Cape Town International Boat Show.

Built from lightweight and extremely strong carbon throughout, this vessel is designed for high performance cruising in the Caribbean and beyond. With an overall length of 18m, an 8.76m beam, 167m2 sail area – and supplemented with two 38hp diesel motors – this is an ideal craft for short-handed sailing or just plain enjoyment.

High aspect daggerboards and drum rudders with a with an efficient sail plan on a carbon wing mast add to the performance abilities of this cat. Lines are elegant and the accommodation is spacious and practical for two to eight people.

Two Oceans Marine has been building sea-going vessels in Cape Town since 1989 and has established a track record for well-engineered craft. The Cape is home to some of the toughest sailing and cruising conditions in the world and vessels built in this environment adapt easily to any other part of the world.

Two Oceans Marine operates two factories in Cape Town and both are South African Boat Building Association accredited – these certifications are in line with current European ISO standards.
