There are no sailors more tough than Finn sailors! And the toughest are the ones who compete in the Finn World Masters as despite their advancing years they are as competitive as ever and push hard through to the very end.
4 South Africans are competing this year in a fleet of 204 ‘Masters’ sailors. The first two races were challenging for race officials and competitors alike with the wind never staying consistent for more than one leg at a time.
Individually, Greg Davis was the top South African, although South African Sailing (SAS) President Philip Baum, sailing in the Great Grand Master division is 6th in his division after two races.
