I was called last evening by someone closely following my posts on the Cape to Rio Race. He wanted to know where he could get wind info on the fleet. I assume that others would like this info, so here goes.
I will attempt to post a wind chart daily, the first with this post.
A good site to check regularly is Passage Weather (www.passageweather.com). I would recommend that people wanting info on the wind and weather in general in the South Atlantic, go to this site.
Please note that the wind arrows point towards the direction that the wind is blowing, ie. From the direction the barbs on the wind stick are pointing, to the empty end of the wind stick. Each bard represents 10 knots and each half barb 5 knots.
