After a blustery opening day for the 707 boats from 74 nations competing in Medemblik at the Delta Lloyd Regatta, the sun came out to play, and the breeze slightly softer although still wildly variable in strength and direction.
And it turned out to be a disastrous day for the RSA 470 team who were Black Flagged in the 4th race, dropping them down to 22nd overall.
Young Stefano Marcia in the Laser class continued his steady progress with results of 25; 22 & 25 to leave him 50th overall.
The 49er guys of Graeme Willcox and Andrew Tarboton are 51st overall with consistent results and a 10th as a highlight in race four. Their results are as follows: 20; 25; 25; 10; 25; 25.
