This promises to be a FUN regatta with amazing cash prizes this year; including R1000 cash prize for beating the record and an additional R5 000 in cash which will be distributed by way of lucky draws, simply by completing the race. Every sailor across the fleet will stand a chance to win cash prizes. Please remember we sail on handicap – see attachment. Please sort out handicap queries before 1 October 2014 by emailing sailing@vyc.co.za; no queries of any nature will be entertained on the regatta weekend.
QUIVER, one of our Sponsors, will be making special long sleeved shirts displaying “TOUR DE VLEI 2014” as well as various logos. These are sponsored, branded shirts and are being made on order. Please get your orders (size/s required) in by 1 October 2014 (see Entry Form for details). This is a new tradition we are starting this season and we would like all Skippers and Crew to “sail for their shirts” year on year. Each years’ shirt will be a slightly different design, to move with the times.
Please pre-book your meals to avoid disappointment; we are having an Oktoberfest theme (see attachments for details). Full bar and galley will run the entire weekend.
