KZN Hobie 14 Regionals
This regatta is almost upon us and is taking place from the 9th to the 11th August offshore. This is the perfect opportunity to practise for all the events coming up in the Vaal including Hobie 14 Nationals. Please do your entries online via www.hobiecatkzn.co.za before the 1st August to avoid a late entry fee.
Get sailing:
We need to get back to sailing on weekends from Vetch’s. Please get your boats fixed and get back out there. Co-ordinate your visits by sending a message on the PYC Beachsite Sailing WhatsApp group. It is easier for those who have 4×4 to just drive onto the beach but for those who don’t, please make arrangements with someone who can tow your boat on and off the beach. Bring your families and a cooler box and let’s once again enjoy all that sailing form Vetch’s has to offer and the HOBIE WAY OF LIFE.
Hobies parked at PYC:
Space is at a premium in the boat park at PYC. A request has been made from the Manager, that Hobies that are not being sailed should be moved from the boat park to make way for boats that are being regularly used. Unfortunately Hobies take up a lot more space than some of the other dinghies and those that are quite obviously not sail-worthy are attracting attention. First prize is to get your boat fixed and back on the water!
