H23 masters Invitation Master 2014
H23 masters Masters entry form 2014 Shirts 1
LATEST – 17 April 2014
The event has attracted 16 boat entries and about 50 people.
The inclusion of quite a few new H23 owners who self proclaim to be
novices, but who would like to enter, has added another dimension to this event.
We have included a “rally” segment which means that all starts will have a
racing start, but those who wish to follow as non-competitors will be
totally accepted as rally participants, alleviating all the pressures
of racing. I think this has drawn quite a few more entries as the title
MASTERS can be quite misleading. As one novice put it – “give me a dozen
beers and a stop watch and i’ll show them who the master is”
We have 2 non-H23’s (Me-Shell and Windkat) two monster cats shadowing the
event and joining in the social parties that are laid on after each days
sailing. We let them come along so they can carry all the heavy stuff like
30 dozen beers and charcoal etc, we also need their dingies. Lol

INVITATION
Holiday 23er’s – the VAAL DAM MASTERS is an exclusive bi-annual event specially designed for the Holiday 23 family.
History predicts that the Vaal Dam Masters normally attracts about 15 – 20 boats with growing numbers at each meeting. No convincing is needed for those who have been at previous events, but for the new participants, just expect to have fun for a full 6 days with lots of casual sailing and social gatherings. We have also catered for those who prefer to get to the next destination first – so we have races. To keep things simple, there will only be one class – using genoas, furlers, spinnakers or non-spinnakers. Racing results will only indicate the first 5 boats as our main goal will be on fun sailing.
