470 World Championship Test Event. RSA 3rd

Asenathi Jim at the helm and Sibu Sizatu on trapeze.

On the first day of the “Alexander the Great Cup” which is the pre-worlds of the 470 Class, three races were sailed – and the RSA team fared very well.

In the men’s division there were 42 boats, with South Africans Asenathi Jim and Sibu Sizatu ending the day after 3 races in 3rd position overall.

Their results were: 4; 2; 10.

That’s a great result for this new combination, coached by Roger Hudson, competing in their first major event.

Well done guys and keep that performance going – and right into the World Championships too.
