The oldest one dates from 1863 and the newest from 2017, and they include first editions and other collectibles. They cover every topic a sailor might want to know about: cruising, racing, navigation, design, boat building, repair, cruising destinations, dinghies, keelboats, great voyages, survival at sea (when a race or cruise didn’t go according to plan).
Some have been a source of enjoyment, knowledge and reference and have contributed to Sailing Magazine over the last 30-plus years. Others are brand new and are perfect as gifts for friends, crew, skippers, etc. They could be ideal for providing subtle hints about where your team mate could improve – eg, helming, trimming, foredeck work, knot tying, etc…
With my imminent move to the Cape West Coast, and much less space to house an extensive book collection, they are now all for sale.
Bulk discounts and mates’ (yachties’) rates apply.
