It’s a gorgeous day in Cape Town and the 17th iteration of the continent’s premier boat show is underway at the iconic V&A Waterfront.

Boasting one of the largest-ever water displays of powered cruisers, power and sailing catamarans, fishing and leisure craft, as well as stand-up paddles and all the kit to go with them, this year’s Show promises to have something for everyone.

Alongside the water exhibits is a large marquee with a plethora of exhibitors showcasing the latest in engines, marine electronic equipment and sailing courses. In a first this year, renowned artist Duncan Stewart is staging a small exhibition of his work – some perfect pieces for those looking to boost their collection.

The Show runs from Friday 20 to Sunday 22 October at the V&A Waterfront Marina – entrance is alongside the Aquarium. Doors open at 10h00 daily and entrance is R100 for adults and R50 for scholars. Paid-up members of a yacht or boat club in possession of their valid membership cards qualify for a 50% discount.
