For the first time in the history of the Halcat sailing class, three disabled sailors with their specially adapted Halcats took part in the 2017 Halcat SAS National Class Champs Stilbaai Yacht Club on the Vaal Dam.
Approximately 30 Halcats from all over the country competed in what was a light wind regatta.
The disabled sailors competed well and finished as follows:
26 Douglas Boman 1st Adaptive sailor
28 Grant Fisher 2nd Adaptive sailor
29 Francios du Toit 3rd Adaptive sailor
