The 2017 Dolphin National Championships have come and gone and will go down as one with a good selection of wind strengths and very close racing. As Pretoria Sailing is the home of the Dolphin Class it seemed fitting that they should be the club to host the regatta. 


There were two entries from the Cape, one from Aeolians Club and the rest were all from the host club, Pretoria. A total of eleven out of the twelve scheduled races were sailed over the four days. 


The first day was light and switchy. On Sunday morning the sailors were greeted by a howling gale. John Geekie, the race officer postponed racing due to the strong onshore wind
